Denton Adams has been my creative pen name since 2005. When people heard my birth name, they always related it to Adam Smith, the macroeconomist who wrote the Wealth of Nations. So, professionally, as a creative, I decided to use a sexier name. I've independently written, produced, and directed shorts, features, and web series for over a decade.

Ever since I was a child, I've always enjoyed writing captivating stories from the black diaspora. Creativity is a part of me, and because of my Faith in God, I merge the two worlds and produce wholesome content and entertainment to evoke provocative thought and inspire the masses

through the conventions of faith, love, and truth embodied in my body of work.

"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around, does it still make a sound?" is a question a good friend asked me many years ago while pursuing my dream as a filmmaker. Although many projects never gained notoriety or were accepted in competitive film festivals, I'm grateful and blessed as an independent black filmmaker for all my work and achievements. Working with exceptional, talented individuals over the years has given me great satisfaction in completing multiple bodies of work that still inspire audiences today.
